A TRIP THROUGH DISNEYLAND TICKET BOOK

I had several requests on the DHI Old Tomorrowland Month: The TWA Rocket to the Moon essay in regards to the ticket book that supplied the Moonliner ticket. Above is the said rare book, which may have just been a promotional or trial run book, as very few exist. Enjoy.

  1. Aha! One of the Dillingham books (pre-Globe)! Amazing.

  2. You are shedding light on this. What is a Dillingham book? The back of this book does have Globe Tickets on it. I'll post it, so you can see. Would love to find out more about it. Thanks (love your blog!). Paul

  3. Dillingham Ticket Co. is still around; they made tickets for Knott's Berry Farm long ago (the long train tickets, for example), and I was told (by the "Ticket King", maybe you know who I mean) that those books with the cloud motif on the cover were made by Dillingham. Perhaps there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the way, because I was darn surprised to see the Globe logo! According to the Ticket King, the super-rare Dillingham ticket books were printed on much heavier paper... more of a card stock, I suppose. I think he said that he had an unused example. If only I could contact him, but I'm not sure I have his info any more.

You can see many Knott's Dillingham tickets on the Vintage Disneyland Tickets blog.
